tbh i hadn't clocked that connection at all but now i'm like "oh makes complete sense V'd like this too then" lmao. i do think it would be fun to follow thru with this one just enough to get to the reveal tho. i'm still super interested in the huge blank in karl's life before what we see in RE8, and like you say, it is very fun to work thru a character's life to follow how they got to where they are in canon. (also, i can only assume, just as fun to torment steve lmao)
